Currently, electricity connections to 512 communities are also at various stages of completion.
Minister of Finance Ken Ofori-Atta, on Wednesday, 17 November 2021, during the 2022 budget presentation to parliament, said: “In 2022, we will work to complete many such projects, and approximately 800 towns will be connected to the national grid under the SHEP-4, SHEP-5, and the much-talked-about Turnkey Projects.”
He added that the government would select 2,401 communities with a population of 400 and above to be connected to the national grid.
