Afenyo-Markin's call to Mahama to appoint more than 60 is a proof of NPP's deceitful campaign promise to Ghanaians

The recent call by the Minority Leader of Parliament, Hon Afenyo Markins to H.E John Dramani Mahame to appoint more than 60 ministers has proven his party's campaign promise of 50 ministers was just for political power and a way of deceiving the Ghanaian electorates.
If you remember the former Vice President promised 50 ministers just after John Mahama's promise of forming a lean government to reduce the pressure on the country's purse as the appointment of more ministers put a huge financial burden on our purse, the then Vice President promised 50 to inform Ghanaians he will even appoint lesser ministers and John Mahama's promise of 60 was even more.
After Mahama's victory has submitted 42 ministers to Parliament for their vetting and approval has faced strong criticism from the Minority leader, calling the president to apologise to the country and appoint more than the intended figure he campaigned with.
This is proof that all the campaign promises of the NPP would not have been implemented and as usual taken us for granted even when we complained and showed our displeasure just as we were ignored during the implementation of the E-Levy as well as the call to change their former finance minister, Ofori Atta.
Hon Afenyo Markin during a debate on the floor of Parliament to approve Hon Ahmed Ibrahim, minister designated for Local Government and Rural Development and Chieftaincy Affairs in his closing remarks said, "I am not the president, but if I was to advise Mr President, I would say, Mr President, you can apologise to Ghanaians and say, you underestimated the thing.
I think I need to engage more ministers," he added.
However, his party presidential candidate, the then Vice President promised even lesser figure
.Afenyo's attitude after the defeat suffered towards the 16-day-old government has been just a mere one to score political mercies from the nation after abysmally managing the country and plunging the country into huge debt.
Despite his recent call the president has promised not to appoint deputy ministers for some of the ministries to prevent huge expenditures as the country has huge financial obligations to meet and the appointment of more than 60 ministers will be unwisely taken into consideration of high debts to pay to services loans and other statutory payments as well as new projects to begun and completion of Existing projects left uncompleted by the just-passed administration.
