Mantse Ankrah Royal Family reunites after 22 years of feud to celebrate Homowo

After a 22-year rift, the Mantse Ankrah Royal Family has reunited to celebrate their first Homowo festival, marking a significant moment of unity and renewal.
The joyous event was held at the Royal Palace and Family Cemetery Museum in North Kaneshie, bringing together members from all three sections of the family for the first time since the long-standing dispute began.
The Mantse Ankrah Royal Family, comprising the Ankrah, Ayi, and Okanta sections, is traditionally led by three leaders, with Nii Okanta Ankrah II now serving as the overall head of the composite family.
His leadership played a crucial role in bringing the family together for this historic celebration.
In his address to the gathering, Nii Okanta Ankrah II expressed deep gratitude to God, the ancestors, and the gods for making the Homowo celebration possible and peaceful after so many years of discord.
He urged family members to maintain and nurture the unity they have begun to build and extended a call to all Ghanaians, including those in the diaspora, to join hands in fostering a unified family.
The festival was attended by esteemed guests, including the Paramount Chief of Otublohum, Nii Dodoo Nsaki II, along with other revered chiefs, queen mothers, Asofoatsemei, Asafoanyemei, and sub-chiefs from the Ga State, adding to the significance of the occasion
