La Trad C’cil imposes ban on noise-making as Homowo begins

The annual Homowo festival of the La Traditional area has commenced.
Hence the La Traditional Council has announced a ban on general noise-making.
The ban will be effective from 6 pm on Monday, 5 August 2024, to 6 pm on Friday, 30 August 2024.
The council has issued a directive for all individuals, churches, hotels, eateries, and other businesses within the La Traditional area to strictly adhere to the noise ban and its associated regulations.
“Niim3i expect all people, churches, hotels, eateries, and other business and social concerns within the jurisdiction of the La Traditional area to take note and strictly adhere to the Dos and Don’ts during the period,” the council said in a statement.
It further emphasised: “Any offender will be strictly dealt with.”
The ban will affect several areas, including La Township, Labone, Cantonments, Flagstaff House area, 37 Military Hospital area, Tse-Addo, Burma Camp, Legon, Shiashi, Bawaleshi, Okponglo, Mpenhuasem, Ogbojo, Ashale Botwe, Agbogba, Madina-Nkwantanan-Atiman, Adentan, Oyarifa, Teiman, Ayi Mensah, Frafraha, Amanfro, Ashiye, and Amrahia.
