Archbishop Dr Charles Agyinasare was inducted as the new President of the Bible Society of Ghana (BSG) in a significant and spiritually uplifting ceremony held at the Perez Dome. Archbishop Agyinasare is the first charismatic leader appointed as the Society's President. The induction, which took place on September 1, 2024, marks a new chapter for the Society as it continues its mission of making God's Word available and affordable to all Ghanaians.

The event, attended by a large gathering of clergy and dignitaries—including some former Presidents of the Bible Society of Ghana, and members of the Christian community, was both a celebration of leadership and a reaffirmation of the Bible Society's commitment to its core values. Archbishop Dr. Agyinasare succeeds Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah, who served as the Society's President from 2020 to 2024. The leadership transition was smooth and spiritually charged, reflecting the unity and shared vision within the organization.

Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah officiated the induction ceremony and passed the baton of leadership to Archbishop Dr. Agyinasare, signifying a continuity of purpose and a fresh impetus for the Society's mission. In his response, Archbishop Agyinasare expressed profound gratitude and humility, acknowledging the solid foundation laid by his predecessors. He paid tribute to the past presidents of the Society, emphasizing that their dedication and vision have made the Bible Society a beacon of hope and a pillar of the faith community. He particularly saluted Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah and his leadership team for their immense contributions to the Society's success in recent years. The Archbishop emphasized his deep conviction that the Word of God remains the most powerful tool to transform lives, communities, and nations. Quoting 2 Timothy 3:16-17, he highlighted the importance of Scripture in equipping believers for every good work.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Dr Agyinasare outlined his vision to advance the Society's mandate by building a self-sustaining organization, advocating for Bible work at high levels of influence, and engaging every church leader in Ghana to integrate Bible distribution and study into their ministries. He also pledged to promote the Annual Bible Week as a time of renewal and recommitment to the Word of God, urging all Christian leaders to embrace the Society's programs fully. With confidence in God's help and the support of the Christian community, he is committed to making the Bible Society a living force in every home, church, and heart in Ghana.

Archbishop Dr. Agyinasare outlined his vision for the future, focusing on building a self-sustaining Bible Society, engaging in high-level advocacy, and involving every church leader in the mission of Bible work. He passionately called on all Christians and churches in Ghana to support the Society's objectives, mainly translating and distributing Bibles in local languages.

Following the induction of the new President, Archbishop Dr. Agyinasare also inducted the reappointed Council and Committee members, reaffirming their roles in advancing the Society's objectives. The ceremony featured powerful musical ministrations from renowned gospel artists Joe Mettle, Ceccy Twum, and Rev. Evan David, who uplifted the spirits of the attendees, setting a worshipful tone that continued throughout the event. The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye delivered the sermon and spoke on leadership, service, and humility, drawing from Isaiah 40:4-5 to inspire the newly inducted leaders.

The ceremony also included a time of Holy Communion, anointing, and special offerings dedicated to supporting the ongoing work of the Bible Society. The event concluded with a recession led by the Perez Boys' and Girls' Brigade.
