A/R: Bawumia joins Otumfuo to celebrate Akwasidae

Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia has joined Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to celebrate the ultimate Akwasidae for 2021.
It was celebrated at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, on Sunday, 12 December 2021.
Vice-President Bawumia was accompanied by his wife Samira Bawumia.
The Akwasidae Festival is celebrated by the chiefs and people of the Ashanti Region.
The celebration is focused on remembering and acknowledging past kings and offering ancestral reverence.
It is celebrated once every six weeks, on Sundays.
