Mentioning that one of his latest works is the reloaded version of the Ghanaian classic ‘Inspector Bediako’, he took the narrated that it all started with a short animation film.

“I think it started with Francis Brown, he was the first one who contacted me about scoring a movie – by then he was doing his final year project at National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI). He hit me up and said he’s doing a short animation movie on the history of Ewe people and I think that was the very first one I scored.”

It was after scoring for the Brown’s ‘Agorkoli’ that he started getting requests from crews for movies like “Keteke, after that there was Aloe Vera, then Side Chick Gang – I wasn’t the only person working on the scoring – Reynolds the Gentleman also worked on the productions – my focus is more on the theme song for the movie.”

The seriel hitmaker explained his creative process concerning scoring for movies: “First of, I have to read the script for the whole movie, and I need to understand what the [client] wants, and understand which parts they want to use it for. Sometimes, when the movie is being shot, I go there and witness it. After it’s done, they send me the shots of the where they want the song to be.”

Worlasi, nicknamed Waaska, revealed his digital audio workshop (DAW) is Cubase.

“I’m not stopping now, I’m looking forward to doing more movies.

He gave an honourable mention to ace Ghanaian movie director Peter Segbefia for being “supportive with my craft.”

Tonight, December 9, 2022, the artiste combines drama and music in a play titled ‘Mother’, at the Alliance Francaise amphitheatre.
