Tommy Annan-Forson 'singlehandedly' made me who I am – Jon Germain
Jon Germain has narrated the story of how a bold decision by Tommy Annan-Forson shot him into the limelight and totally transformed his life.
The media and music star spoke on 3FM.
Germain said his big break was orchestrated by “Tommy Annan-Forson, singlehandedly”.
He remembered “a lot of people” opposed the idea of “the guy in the library” at then Choice FM “going to host a show”.
“They said, 'There are other presenters who have been doing this for a while and if you want to add another show to the station’s programmes, you can always give it to another person but then you want to pick the guy in the library to host the show'. People didn’t like that but Tommy said, ‘Listen, he’s going to do it and he can do it’,” Germain, nicknamed The Supremo, narrated.
“And months after, I was hosting the drive-time show and I got to host the midmorning show on Choice as well, and few years after, I was on Metro TV.”
