Rapper OJ Blaq dead

Ghanaian rapper OJ Blaq, whose real name was Andy Nii Akrashie has died.
The artiste, who has been battling with kidney disease in the past died on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
OJ Blaq's musical journey began in the early 2000s, capturing the hearts of fans with his debut album "The Blaq Mixtape" in 2006.
His hit track "Chalewote" become an anthem that resonated across the nation.
Beyond his musical prowess, OJ Blaq also made a significant impact on the entertainment industry as an accomplished actor, gracing the screens of Ghanaian cinema with his compelling performances in various films and television series.
In 2021, the artist's life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with kidney disease. Displaying incredible resilience, OJ Blaq underwent rigorous dialysis treatments while courageously awaiting a kidney transplant.
He was 40.
