Mona4Reall: Lawyers of singer request US gov't for her passport to aid self-deportation

To facilitate her self-deportation from US to Ghana, lawyers of Mona Faiz Montrage have requested for the Ghanaian socialite and recording artiste’s passport from the US government.
The document was addressed to Judge J. Paul Oetken.
The request is in tandem with an earlier judgement requiring the passport to be returned to Mona upon completion of her sentence.
Popularly known as Mona4Reall, the mother of one is currently serving a year and a day sentence at Federal Detention Center (FDC) Philadelphia, with a six-count indictment charging her for her role in a series of romance scams and money laundering.
Part of her lawyers’ letter read, “We represent Ms. Mona Montrage on the above-captioned matter. We write with the consent of the government to respectfully request the release of Ms. Montrage’s passport which was surrendered to Pretrial Services at the time of her arrest.”
Upon completion of her sentence, Mona will be escorted by the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) facility to the airport to fly out to Ghana without any domestic stops.
