Kojo Antwi meets Umar Johnson; 'Proud of your work'
Ghanaian music legend Kojo Antwi has noted meeting popular Black American activist and psychologist Dr Umar Johnson.
Antwi called Johnson "my brother," celebrating his "bravery and mindset".
The Sunkwa hitmaker noted his solidarity with Johnson and attached pictures of both of them cheerfully fist-bumping. They met on the day Dr Johnson spoke at the Source of Knowledge Bookstore in Newark, New Jersey, USA, Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Kojo Antwi wrote on Facebook, Monday, September 16: "It was a pleasure meeting you my brother [thanks/prayer emoji]. Proud of your work and the black love and power you share [heart and flexing muscles emojis]. We appreciate your bravery and mindset. We walk beside you, Dr. Umar Ifatunde [fist emojis]."
Dr Umar Johnson is a Pan-African author and speaker who is passionate about empowering Black people. He holds controversial views, among which are his condemnation of interracial marriage and homosexuality.
Kojo Antwi played a show at the Dominion Centre, London, UK, together with Kofi Kinaata, on September 7.
