John Dumelo, Efia Odo join galamsey protest on day 3
The third day of the ongoing anti-galamsey protests saw notable public figures joining the demonstrators.
Actor and politician John Dumelo and social media influencer Efia Odo joined demonstrators in their fight against illegal mining.
The protest, which seeks to draw attention to the devastating impact of galamsey on Ghana’s natural environment, has been gaining momentum with increased participation and media coverage over the past three days.
Organised by the pressure group Concerned Citizens Against Galamsey, the demonstration aims to highlight the widespread destruction of water bodies, forests, and farmlands caused by unregulated mining activities.
The group is calling for stronger government action to curb illegal mining, which continues to wreak havoc on communities across the country.
