Britney Spears apologises to Justin Timberlake for revelations she made in memoir
Britney Spears has appeared to apologise to Justin Timberlake for things she wrote about him in her autobiography.
The 42-year-old singer shared a post on Instagram saying she was sorry if she had "offended any of the people I genuinely care about" along with a clip of Justin Timberlake singing on Saturday Night Live.
Spears published her book, The Woman In Me, in October, in which she revealed she had an abortion while dating the former NSYNC star.

In her post, Spears wrote: "I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry…"
Sharing a clip of Timberlake singing with US chat show host Jimmy Fallon, she added: "I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake's new song 'Selfish' It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ???"
She also praised another of his new songs, Sanctified.
Spears was 17 when she began dating Timberlake in 1999 after they met on the Mickey Mouse Club, which was a launchpad for numerous celebrities including Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling.

The pair were together until 2002.
In her memoir, Spears described the unplanned pregnancy as a "surprise".

She wrote: "For me, it wasn't a tragedy. But Justin definitely wasn't happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren't ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.
"If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it."
She also described the abortion as "one of the most agonising things I have ever experienced in my life".

Spears went on to have two children with the rapper and dancer Kevin Federline, who she married in 2004.
In her book, Spears also described herself as "a child robot", in reference to the controversial conservatorship that governed her life for more than 13 years, allowing her father to control her freedom and finances.
It ended in late 2021 after a swelling #FreeBritney movement that helped secure new limits on conservatorships in California.
