YEA's skills and fashion hub to empower PWDs

The Youth Employment Agency's (YEA's) groundbreaking initiative the Skills and Fashion Hub, has been launched to train and empower young entrepreneurs, with a special focus on People Living with Disabilities (PWDs).
This hub aims not only to create jobs but to equip individuals with life-changing skills, breaking barriers and fostering opportunities for all to succeed.
In collaboration with key partners—the Ghana Chamber for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities, the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association, and Osei Collections—this initiative is set to transform the fashion industry and business landscape in Ghana.
The Skills and Fashion Hub will provide top-tier training in fashion design, business development, financial literacy, and digital skills.
It’s designed to support both existing fashion entrepreneurs and start-ups, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and resources needed for long-term success.
One of the unique aspects of this hub is the guaranteed market access it provides.
Thanks to off-taker agreements secured through GIZ, participants’ products will have a ready market and dedicated shops to showcase their work.
This ensures that young entrepreneurs, particularly PWDs, can thrive in a competitive market.
"This initiative isn’t just about jobs," YEA said,
According to YEA, "It’s about equipping people with skills to transform their future."
By breaking down barriers and fighting discrimination, this hub ensures that every young Ghanaian has the opportunity to shine.
The YEA explained that the hub is committed to fostering inclusivity and supporting sustainable entrepreneurship for all.
As this journey begins, the vision is clear: a future full of opportunities and success for everyone involved. "The future is bright, and we’re just getting started," YEA added.
Together, we’re building a future where everyone can thrive.
Let’s celebrate this sustainable partnership and the bright future ahead.
