V/R: Ho municipal Assembly Members accuse MCE of bypassing local authority in awarding contracts
Members of the Ho Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region have accused their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Divine R.K. Bosson, of making unilateral decisions without the Assembly’s approval.
During a press conference held on Monday, Assembly Members from various electoral areas expressed their frustration with the MCE’s actions, particularly his failure to consult the Local Assembly on key matters.
The members alleged that the MCE had initiated several infrastructure projects within the municipality without proper consultations or securing the necessary approval from the Assembly.
They voiced concerns that these actions could encourage corruption and foster autocratic leadership, ultimately harming the municipality's development.
Several Assembly Members spoke to Class 91.3 FM following the press conference, further detailing their grievances and calling for accountability in the MCE's decision-making process.
