Twum Boafo appointed Acting CEO of Financial Intelligence Centre

In a separate appointment, President Mahama has named Mr. Albert Kwadwo Twum Boafo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), pending the reconstitution of the Board.

Mr. Twum Boafo is a civil engineer, finance expert, and former Chief Executive of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), a position he held from 2009 to 2017.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Materials Engineering from the University of Wales, an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, and an MBA in Finance and Investment Analysis from Stetson University, Florida, USA.

The appointments form part of President Mahama’s administration’s efforts to strengthen key state institutions, ensuring efficiency and strategic development planning for Ghana’s economic growth.
