GRIDCo staff to strike tomorrow

The staff of Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) have resolved to go on a sit-down strike tomorrow, Wednesday, 2 December 2020.
As part of their strike, they have hoisted red flags in their various offices.
They will also ignore all emergencies.
The workers say they are not happy that their new Director of Finance has scrapped some benefits such as their transportation allowance.
In December 2019, GRIDCo staff went on a similar strike over debts which they said were crippling the company.
It was aimed at getting officialdom to address their concerns.
