ECG plans maintenance shutdown for FPSO John Agyekum Kufuor
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance shutdown of the FPSO John Agyekum Kufuor, operated by Eni Ghana Exploration and Production Limited.
In a statement dated September 11, 2024, ECG indicated that the shutdown of the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel would take place from Thursday, September 12, to Wednesday, September 18, 2024, as part of a scheduled maintenance exercise.
The statement noted that the shutdown is expected to result in a temporary reduction in the supply of gas.
However, government has assured the public that alternative arrangements will be made to ensure a continued supply of fuel during the maintenance period.
