Margins boss elected MOBA Ebusuapayin
Mr Moses Kwasi Baiden Jnr, the newly inducted Ebusuapanyin (President) of Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA), has pledged to restore the ownership and management of Mfantsipim School in the Central Region to MOBA and the Methodist Church during his five-year tenure.
In his speech during the induction ceremony, where he and nine (9) other executives were sworn in for a five-year term, renewable for another five years, Mr Baiden outlined his manifesto pledges aimed at empowering, sustaining, and globally positioning the school.
One of his key promises was to return the ownership and management of the school to MOBA and the Methodist Church.
He emphasised the importance of collaboration with the government to manage the school as a non-profit institution, limited by guarantee, and ensure adequate funding to revitalise the institution.
Mfantsipim School, renowned for producing numerous national and global leaders, currently faces challenges under government management, including overcrowded classrooms, dormitories, and insufficient food for students.
Mr Baiden, also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Margin Group, expressed his determination to elevate Mfantsipim School to its former glory as a premier institution for nurturing leaders.
He stressed the need for a conducive environment for training future leaders at both national and global levels.
Mr Baiden further outlined ten manifesto promises, including working with MOBA to raise a seed fund for a MOBA Endowment Fund and ensuring the fulfillment of each promise to enhance the school's prospects.
