A/R: GNAP lauds Mahama’s promise to include private schools in free SHS
The Acting Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAP) in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Joseph Donkor, has expressed appreciation for the commitment made by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to incorporate private schools into the free Senior High School (SHS) programme.
Mr. Donkor welcomed the promise made by the former President, emphasising the importance of integrating it into the party's manifesto. He stated that this would enable the Association to hold the NDC accountable should they succeed in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking during the sidelines of the 2024 annual week celebration of GNAP in Kumasi, to ClassFM’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Elisha Adarkwah, Mr. Donkor highlighted the readiness of the association to support and campaign for the NDC and its flagbearer.
However, he emphasised that their support would be contingent upon the visible inclusion of the promise in the party manifesto, as they are committed to backing any political party willing to assist them in sustaining their endeavours.
