Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Matthew Opoku Prempeh has called on party members to intensify their house-to-house campaign efforts.

Speaking at a rally in Sikaman within the Akrofuom Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Dr Opoku Prempeh, affectionately called Napo, emphasised every vote was crucial in ensuring the ruling party retained power to continue its progress over the past eight years.

Napo urged NPP supporters to focus on door-to-door engagements, as it would significantly boost the party’s chances in the upcoming elections.

He highlighted the impressive achievements of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration, encouraging members to educate voters about these successes.

Napo also called on party members to clearly explain Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s plans to build upon Akufo-Addo’s accomplishments, ensuring voters understood the NPP’s vision for the future.

He illustrated the impact of NPP policies using a powerful example.

In 2016, a bag of cocoa could only buy 13 bags of cement. However, by 2024, the price of a single bag of cocoa can purchase 34 bags of cement, he illustrated.

This significant improvement, Napo continued, showed the positive effects of NPP policies on the lives of the people in Sikaman and surrounding communities.

He expressed confidence these visible benefits would lead to overwhelming support for Dr Bawumia and the NPP in the December elections.

Napo also outlined the NPP’s plans for the Akrofuom Constituency, emphasising the need for responsible mining practices that protect the environment while ensuring the community benefited from its mineral resources.

This vision aligns with the party’s broader strategy to promote environmentally sustainable small-scale mining across the country, he indicated.

With the Akrofuom constituency having a long-standing loyalty to the NPP, Napo expressed strong confidence the people would once again deliver a decisive victory for Dr Bawumia.

He also urged voters to re-elect Alex Blankson to Parliament, noting continued NPP leadership would drive further development in the area.

Napo, a highly respected figure in the NPP, especially in the Ashanti Region, reiterated hard work and an effective campaign strategy were essential for victory.

“House-to-house campaigning is key to ensuring our success. We are going door-to-door, room-to-room, office-to-office, and market-to-market to secure votes,” he stated.

Adding to the rally’s momentum, Mr Kennedy Agyepong highlighted the core purpose of politics was to promote development, urging voters to support leaders who prioritise national growth.

Mr Alex Blankson, the Member of Parliament for the area, echoed this sentiment, stressing continued progress should be valued over political affiliations.

He encouraged the people to vote for the NPP to maintain the ongoing development in the constituency and across the country.
