First-time Voters going through the process to get regsitered

The National Democratic Congress's (NDC) Constituency Chairman of Ayawaso West Wuogon in the Greater Accra Region, Mr Bismark Abobi, has called on all first-time voters not to be frustrated by the initial glitches encountered by the Electoral Commission on the first day of the Limited Registration Exercise to enrol first-time voters onto the electoral roll for the 2024 general elections.

Explaining the allegations by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of bussing some voters to the registration centres to make up the numbers on the roll, Mr Abobi said it was only right for the party to assist the first-time voters to the district of the EC to enable them to get enrolled on the electoral roll.

He said the NDC was prepared for the exercise while the NPP was caught flat-footed hence the allegations of bussing.

He said the district office is far from the electoral areas of the Constituency hence the party’s decision to assist the first-time voters with transport facilities to go through the process

He said NDC at Ayawaso West Wuogon is determined to ensure Victory for John Dumelo, the NDC's Parliamentary Candidate in the December 7, 2024 parliamentary elections.

Mr Abobi made this call for registrants not to be frustrated by the delays at the centres while speaking in an interview on the Ghana Yensom morning show hosted by Otafrigya Kaayire Kewsi Appea-Apreku on Accra 100.5 FM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

He said the remaining 20 days is a call to duty for all first-time voters to ensure they get registered to roll out the campaign to unseat the New Patriotic Party
