GUNMA to demo March 1 over delay in financial clearance
The Graduate Unemployed Nurses and Midwives’ Association (GUNMA) has declared its intention to stage a demonstration due to grievances over the extended delay in receiving financial clearance and permanent job placements.
Members of the association have expressed frustration at being unemployed for an extended period.
In a press release, GUNMA appealed to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, for assistance in addressing their concerns.
The demonstration is scheduled to take place on Friday, March 1, 2024, at the Jubilee Park in Tamale, starting from 7:00 am and concluding at 12:30 pm.
The primary objective of the protest is to compel the government to promptly provide financial clearance and job placements for the affected nurses and midwives.
