“I already had songs released before I joined Media Excel,” Rose Adjei has clarified.

The Na God singer testified “by God’s grace” her former record company, Media Excel, showed deep commitment and helped her greatly to the extent that “people got to know my songs even though they didn’t know me”.

She noted all the managers she has had over the years, enjoyed “mutual benefits” from their professional relationship, in terms of revenue and publicity.

“I can confidently tell you when my music was released, many singers became interested in joining the Media Excel label,” she touted. “They had seen how far and wide my music had gone.”

“It was same with KB Empire, also,” Rose Adjei noted.

The Ne Mmre (His Time) singer highlighted, however, “no matter how good a management team is at promoting your work, if the artiste is lazy and does not work so hard, all their efforts will be in vain”.

Here, she observed contentedly, that “all the two managements I’ve had were very good and hardworking, while as an artiste, I was very good, hardworking and I pushed my work as we all worked hand in hand”.

Notwithstanding she categorically said, she is not considering going back to any of the two labels she previously worked for.

“At all times in life, we must move forward,” she explained.

According to her, currently an independent Gospel act, she is “relaxed” and not ready to partner with “any record label” until “God says differently”.

Rose Adjei spoke to Taller Dee on the No.1 Gospel Showbiz programme on No.1 FM, 105.3.

In July 2014, the Ernest Kwasi Ennin-led Media Excel Music Production announced it was managing Rose Adjei.

Rose Adjei signed to the Kwabena Boateng-led KB Empire in October 2016.
