APD 2025 to focus on infrastructure and economic integration
The Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) 2025, a premier event advancing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), will be held from January 30 to February 1, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre.
This year’s theme, “Delivering Africa’s Single Market through Infrastructure: Invest. Connect. Integrate,” underscores the critical role of infrastructure in uniting Africa’s 1.4 billion consumers into the world’s largest single market by member states.
The annual dialogue, organised by the Africa Prosperity Network in partnership with the AfCFTA Secretariat and under the patronage of the President of Ghana, will host nearly 3,000 participants.
These include African heads of state, industry leaders, policymakers, and development partners.
The summit aims to catalyse discussions on infrastructure development, innovation, and policy frameworks to foster economic integration and shared prosperity across the continent.
Agenda Highlights
Day One (January 30): The summit will begin with the opening of the Project Afrique Exhibition, side events, and an official ceremony featuring international dignitaries. Key discussions will address infrastructure funding and transport systems to facilitate seamless movement across Africa. The day will end with a Welcome Reception at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
Day Two (January 31): Focused on critical sectors such as sustainable energy, digital infrastructure, STEM education, healthcare, and urban development, the second day will include open forums and expert-led sessions. These discussions will inform the summit’s outcome document, offering actionable recommendations.
Day Three (February 1): Heads of state and business leaders will participate in a High-Level Dialogue and a Presidential Roundtable, exploring policy frameworks for private sector engagement in Africa’s single market. Fireside conversations will highlight BADEA’s US$50 billion Investment Fund and feature one of Africa’s leading industrialists.
The event will conclude with the prestigious Africa Prosperity Champions Awards and a Presidential Gala Dinner.
The black-tie affair will celebrate individuals and organisations that have made outstanding contributions to Africa’s economic integration and progress toward the AU’s Agenda 2063.
With the participation of at least six African heads of state and an array of influential stakeholders, the APD 2025 promises to deliver impactful solutions for Africa’s infrastructure and integration challenges, propelling the continent closer to achieving its economic potential.
