2024 polls: ‘Something good can come out of Walewale’ – Bawumia
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has expressed his unwavering belief in his capacity to positively influence Ghana's trajectory.
Addressing a gathering of clergy in Takoradi, Thursday, 2 May 2024, during his tour of the Western Region, Dr Bawumia emphasised the importance of divine intervention in his mission.
“I believe that I can do something for Ghana. I believe God uses everybody that he wants to use to change the society… I believe that something good can come from Walewale and if God says that it should come from Walewale it will come from Walewale,” he affirmed.
Dr Bawumia urged religious leaders to intervene in ensuring politicians prioritise national unity over personal gain, safeguarding Ghana's peace.
Reflecting on his upbringing, the Vice-President highlighted the respect for all faiths instilled in him from home.
He pledged collaboration with the church to address developmental challenges facing the nation, signaling a commitment to partnership in overcoming these obstacles.
