This is a digitalisation gov’t – Akufo-Addo touts Ghana’s digital achievements
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has touted his government’s achievement in the area of digitalisation.
The president, who described his government as a “digitalisation government” commended the Vice-President and flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, for the stride achieved.
Delivering the State of the Nation Address on Tuesday, 27 February 2024, President Akufo-Addo said: “This is a digitalisation government, and the man who is leading this, my indefatigable vice president, Dr Mahamdu Bawumia, Dr Digitalisation, the NPP’s excellent presidential candidate for the 2024 elections is coming up with what will allow everybody to check on every project being undertaken by the government without having to listen to the president address, this is the performance tracker.”
The President stressed that the country is making giant strides in the area of digitalisation, thereby improving accountability in the public sector.
“Never again will pictures of artistic impressions of projects will be presented as projects completed,” the President indicated.
