E/R: Mampong Akuapen bans noise-making ahead of Odwira festival
The Mampong Akuapem Traditional Council in the Eastern Region has placed a ban on noise-making ahead of the celebration of this year's Ohum Odwira festival.
The Council, on Monday, 22 August 2022, placed the ban on noise-making to usher in the upcoming Ohum festival for this year.
Speaking to the media at a press conference, the Mampong Akuapem Apesemakahene (PRO), Nana Yirenkyi said this year's Ohum Odwira festival starts on September 4 and will end on September 10.
It is on the theme: “Rebuilding Our Lost Heritage".
He appealed to everyone to adhere to the two-week ban on noise-making to ensure the smooth celebration of the festival.
He noted that anyone found culpable will be made to face the law.
